This is an objet d'art of Sekimoriishi.
Sekimoriishi are small stones placed in tea gardens and other places and tied with ropes in a crisscross pattern. The place where they are placed has the meaning of "please refrain from entering.
We arranged such a Sekimori stone and created this piece in the hope that it would be displayed in a room as a symbol of our place, although it has a different meaning from the conventional one.
This piece is made of yakishime, which allows the viewer to feel the texture of the clay itself, without glaze.
The piece is finished in a lovely manner with a rough stripe pattern that makes use of the color of the clay and the auspicious "Keicho Knot".

Size : 13 cm (height including braided cord), 9.5 cm (height of ceramic part only), 6.5 cm (width)
